How to get to Turkey?

Turkey is easily accessible by air, with major international airports in Istanbul, Ankara, and Antalya. You can also reach Turkey by road or rail from neighboring countries. Flights are the most common and convenient option for most travelers.

Public Transportation in Turkey?

Turkey has an extensive public transportation system, including buses, trams, metro lines, ferries, and taxis in major cities. Istanbul and Ankara have well-developed metro networks, while smaller cities rely on buses and minibusses (dolmuş). In Istanbul, you can use the Istanbul Card (İstanbulkart), a reloadable travel card that works across all public transportation.

Currency and Money Exchange

The official currency of Turkey is the Turkish Lira (TRY). It’s better to exchange money at local exchange offices or banks in the city rather than at the airport.
